License
Iconfyra uses a commercial license model. Different components of the library are covered under specific terms outlined below.
Effective date: March 27, 2026 · Copyright © 2026 Iconfyra. All rights reserved.
1. License Overview
Iconfyra is a commercially licensed icon toolkit. The library comprises multiple distinct components — icons, web fonts, CSS stylesheets, JavaScript files, SVG sprite sheets, and metadata — each subject to the licensing terms detailed on this page.
When you purchase an Iconfyra subscription (Basic, Pro, or Max), you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the included assets in your projects for the duration of your subscription. Assets downloaded during an active subscription remain licensed for continued use in projects created during that period, even after your subscription expires.
The short version: Buy a license, use Iconfyra in unlimited personal and commercial projects. No attribution required on paid plans. No per-seat fees for individual developers. Your license covers every project you build while subscribed.
2. Licensed Components
The Iconfyra library consists of three separately licensed component categories. Each category covers specific file types and has its own usage terms.
All icon designs — including SVG files, SVG sprite sheets, and the vector path data embedded in JavaScript bundles and font glyphs — are proprietary works owned by Iconfyra. They are licensed for use under the terms of your subscription plan.
- You may use, resize, recolor, and adapt icons in your projects.
- You may not redistribute the icon designs as a standalone icon library or asset pack.
- You may not claim authorship of the original icon designs.
Web and desktop font files are generated from the icon designs and distributed as part of the Iconfyra download package. They are licensed for embedding in websites, applications, and documents.
- You may embed fonts in websites using
@font-faceand serve them from your own infrastructure. - You may embed fonts in desktop and mobile applications.
- You may not sell, sublicense, or redistribute the font files as standalone products.
- You may not use the name "Iconfyra" for modified or derivative font files.
All non-font and non-icon source code — including CSS stylesheets, JavaScript files, build output, and utility classes — is licensed for use in your projects under the terms of your subscription.
- You may include CSS and JS files in your web projects, bundlers, and build pipelines.
- You may modify the CSS and JS files to suit your project requirements.
- You may minify, concatenate, or tree-shake the code as part of your build process.
- You may not redistribute the code files as a standalone framework or library.

4. Icons — SVG & Sprite Files
Icon designs are the core creative work of Iconfyra. This section covers the individual SVG files
in the svgs/ directory, SVG sprite sheets in sprites/, and the
vector path data embedded within JavaScript bundles and font glyphs.
Ownership
All icon designs are original works created by Iconfyra. Copyright in the icon designs is retained by Iconfyra at all times. Your license grants you the right to use the icons, not to claim ownership of the underlying designs.
Permitted
- Use in websites, web applications, mobile apps, desktop software, and SaaS products.
- Use in printed materials including marketing collateral, business cards, merchandise, and signage.
- Use in presentations, videos, social media graphics, and digital advertising.
- Use in client work — projects you build for clients are covered under your license.
- Modification — recolor, resize, crop, combine, or otherwise adapt icons to fit your design.
- Embedding in documents (PDF, DOCX, PPTX) and email templates.
Not Permitted
- Selling or redistributing icons as a standalone icon pack, asset kit, or clip art collection.
- Including icons in a product whose primary value is the icons themselves (e.g., a competing icon library, a design asset marketplace listing).
- Generating new icon sets algorithmically from Iconfyra source data (e.g., training models on the SVG paths).
- Removing or altering embedded license comments from distributed files.
5. Fonts — Web & Desktop
Font files (.woff2, .woff, .ttf) in the webfonts/
directory are compiled from the icon designs. They enable the CSS web font approach to rendering icons.
Permitted
- Hosting font files on your own web servers, CDN, or cloud storage.
- Using
@font-facedeclarations to embed icon fonts in your website or application. - Bundling font files inside native mobile or desktop applications.
- Embedding fonts in documents (PDF, eBooks) where the font is subset or embedded as outlines.
- Using fonts across multiple domains and projects under a single license.
Not Permitted
- Redistributing or reselling font files as standalone font products.
- Hosting font files on a public CDN or server for use by third parties who do not hold their own Iconfyra license.
- Creating derivative fonts from the Iconfyra font source and distributing them under the "Iconfyra" name.
- Using font files on domains or in applications not operated by the license holder or their direct clients.
Reserved name: "Iconfyra" is a reserved font name. If you modify the font files, the resulting fonts must be renamed and must not use "Iconfyra" in their name.
6. Code — CSS & JavaScript
CSS stylesheets (iconfyra.css, all.css, per-weight files, minified variants)
and JavaScript files (iconfyra.js, all.js, per-weight modules) provide the
rendering logic and utility classes for displaying icons.
Permitted
- Including CSS and JS files in your web projects via
<link>and<script>tags. - Importing into bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Rollup, esbuild, Parcel, etc.) as part of your build pipeline.
- Modifying, extending, or overriding styles and scripts to match your project's requirements.
- Minifying, concatenating, code-splitting, or tree-shaking as part of a production build.
- Using utility classes (
icf-anim-spin,icf-2x,icf-fw, etc.) freely in your HTML.
Not Permitted
- Redistributing CSS or JS files as a standalone CSS framework, JavaScript library, or npm package.
- Hosting files publicly for third-party consumption outside your own projects.
Embedded License Comments
Downloaded Iconfyra files contain embedded license comments (e.g., /*! Iconfyra ... */).
These comments serve as attribution and license notices. Standard minifiers preserve
/*! */ comments by default. Please do not actively strip these comments from your builds.
7. Permitted Uses
The following is a non-exhaustive list of uses that are expressly permitted under any paid Iconfyra license (Basic, Pro, or Max):
Websites & Web Applications
- Corporate websites, landing pages, and marketing sites.
- E-commerce stores and product catalogs.
- SaaS dashboards, admin panels, and internal tools.
- Blogs, portfolios, and personal websites.
Mobile & Desktop Applications
- Native iOS and Android apps.
- Cross-platform apps (React Native, Flutter, Electron, Tauri).
- Desktop software for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Client Work & Freelancing

- Design deliverables (mockups, prototypes) presented to clients.
- Each client project is covered — no per-project fees.
Print & Physical Media
- Business cards, letterheads, and marketing brochures.
- T-shirts, stickers, merchandise (where icons are part of a larger design, not the sole product).
- Signage, packaging, and product labeling.
Digital Media
- Presentations (Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides).
- Video content (YouTube, tutorials, courses).
- Social media posts and advertising creatives.
- Email templates and newsletters.
Templates & Themes
- HTML templates, WordPress themes, and UI kits you sell or distribute, provided that end users receive only the icons used in the template and not the full Iconfyra library.
- End users of your template do not need their own Iconfyra license for the icons bundled within your product.
Open-Source Projects
- You may include a limited set of Iconfyra icons in an open-source project, provided the icons are not the primary offering of the project.
- The icon files should be clearly identified as proprietary and not covered by the project's open-source license.
8. Restricted Uses
The following uses are not permitted under any Iconfyra license tier:
- Redistribution as a standalone product. You may not repackage Iconfyra icons, fonts, or code into a competing icon library, design asset pack, font product, or any other standalone distribution.
- Sublicensing. You may not grant others the right to use Iconfyra assets independently of your own projects. Each user or organization needs their own license.
- Public hosting for third parties. You may not host Iconfyra files on a public CDN, npm registry, or other distribution channel for consumption by unlicensed third parties.
- Account sharing. API keys, credentials, and download links are for use by the account holder and their direct team members only. Sharing credentials outside your organization is prohibited.
- Claiming authorship. You may not represent yourself as the creator or copyright holder of the original Iconfyra icon designs.
- Machine learning training. You may not use Iconfyra icon data (SVG paths, font glyphs, or any derived representation) as training data for machine learning models, generative AI, or similar automated systems without express written permission.
- NFT or blockchain tokenization. You may not mint, tokenize, or sell Iconfyra icons or derivatives as non-fungible tokens or blockchain-based digital assets.

10. Attribution
Attribution is not required for any paid Iconfyra plan (Basic, Pro, or Max). You are free to use icons without crediting Iconfyra anywhere in your project.
Downloaded files contain embedded license comments (e.g., /*! Iconfyra ... */
in CSS and JS files). These comments satisfy any attribution needs and are preserved by
standard minifiers. We ask that you do not actively remove these comments from your production builds.
If you would like to give credit (which we always appreciate), here are some ways to do so:
- A link to iconfyra.com in your site footer.
- A mention in your project's README or credits page.
- A
humans.txtentry.
11. Brand Icons
Iconfyra may include icons that depict logos, wordmarks, or other identifying marks of third-party companies, products, and services ("Brand Icons"). All Brand Icons are and remain the trademarks and intellectual property of their respective owners.
Usage Guidelines
- Brand Icons should only be used to represent the specific company, product, or service they depict.
- Do not use Brand Icons in a way that implies endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or official affiliation with the trademark holder unless you have explicit written permission.
- Do not modify Brand Icons in ways that distort, alter, or misrepresent the original trademark (e.g., changing colors that are part of the brand identity, combining with other marks).
- When in doubt about acceptable use, refer to the trademark holder's own brand guidelines.
Disclaimer: The inclusion of Brand Icons in the Iconfyra library does not constitute an endorsement by, affiliation with, or sponsorship from any trademark holder. Iconfyra provides these icons for identification purposes only, and assumes no responsibility for their use in ways that violate third-party trademark rights.
12. Modifications & Derivatives
You are encouraged to modify and adapt Iconfyra assets to fit your project requirements. The following guidelines apply to modified and derivative works.
Icons
- You may recolor, resize, crop, rotate, combine, or otherwise adapt icon designs.
- You may use icons as a starting point for custom icon work within your project.
- Modified icons remain subject to the same license restrictions as the originals — they may not be redistributed as a standalone icon product.
Fonts
- You may subset fonts to include only the glyphs you need (reducing file size).
- If you modify the font files, the resulting fonts must be renamed and may not use "Iconfyra" in their family name.
- Modified fonts remain subject to the same distribution restrictions as the originals.
Code
- You may freely modify CSS and JavaScript files for your project needs.
- You may extract portions of the CSS (e.g., utility classes) for use in your own stylesheets.
- Modified code may not be redistributed as a standalone framework or library.

- Do not upload files to public npm, Composer, or package registries.
- Do not include the full Iconfyra library in open-source repositories.
14. Enforcement & Termination
License Duration
Your license is valid for the duration of your active subscription. Assets downloaded during an active subscription remain licensed for continued use in projects created during that period. If your subscription lapses, you may continue to use previously downloaded assets in existing projects but may not access new downloads or updates.
Violation & Revocation
Iconfyra reserves the right to revoke your license if you materially breach these terms. In the event of revocation:
- You will be notified in writing (email) with a description of the violation.
- You will have 30 days to cure the violation or remove all Iconfyra assets from your projects.
- If the violation is not cured within 30 days, your license terminates and all usage rights are revoked.
Good-Faith Grace Period
Icons already shipped in production builds at the time of termination may remain in place until your next deployment or update cycle, provided you make a good-faith effort to remove them promptly. This grace period does not extend beyond 90 days from the termination date.
Refunds
License revocation due to a terms violation does not entitle the license holder to a refund of subscription fees already paid.
